What is 'commissioned work'?

Commissioning a painting is when you

ask the artist to paint a custom piece

just for you. You like the artist's works

and trust that the artist will produce a

piece that you will love. What the artist

will create is discussed between you and

the artist. Typically you will pay a deposit

of fifty percent of the purchase price

before taxes, and then the remainder

upon completion of the piece. It is a

special and personal way to acquire your

artwork!
